CJ 6334 - The Criminal Justice System and Guns in America

This course will examine the impact that guns have had in America and the criminal justice system through various lenses. Supreme Court opinions, federal and state constitutions, rules, and legislation will be explored by students. Additionally, numerous scholarly articles, essays, and books will be utilized to gain a further understanding of the impact of guns on America and, more specifically, the criminal justice system. By the close of the course, students will be knowledgeable about the problems and solutions associated with guns in America.
