GEOL 4306 - Basin Analysis Seminar

Prerequisite(s): GEOL 3302  and GEOL 3312  
This course will discuss the formation and evolution of sedimentary basins, exploring 1) extrabasinal (especially tectonic) influences on sedimentary basin formation and subsidence, 2) methods for studying basin geometry and sedimentation, 3) how sedimentation within basins changes over time, and 4) intrabasinal factors influencing sedimentation (including salt tectonism).
